I am based
in Cape Town, but work Internationally. My main interest is
herpetology, specializing mainly on African Elapids and Bitis
species on a research basis, as well as Wildlife filming and have
worked on many broadcast TV programs as cameraman. I enjoy filming
wildlife, but also enjoy filming documentary-style programs with
decent content. To date, i have worked for BBC, Tigress, National
Geographic, Animal Planet, Discovery, ZDF Germany, NHK Japan and
lots of smaller independent broadcasters.
The work I have done includes shooting (filming) on many formats
including HD, HDV, DV, Photosonics (highspeed) and Phantom
Highspeed Video, as well as many specialised formats like
underwater, miniature cameras (onboard cameras), infra-red, thermal
cameras and covert.
I have worked as a video editor and am a big fan and user of
Apple's Final Cut Pro.
As an environmental consultant, naturalist and conservationist, I
can consult on many issues.
I am always looking for new, exciting projects.
